Exporter XSI
When exporting from XSI you need to use the Ogre Exporter which will export .mesh, .material and .skeleton files. To export a model select File->Export->Ogre Mesh/Skeleton from the main menu.
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to install the Ogre Exporter for XSI:
1. Stop XSI if it is already running.
2. Download the Ogre Exporter for XSI install program from here. Do not attempt to run the install across the Internet, download it first. This version of the exporter is compatible with XSI versions 4.x and 5.x. Note that the exporter will not work with the trial version of XSI.
3. Run the install program. NOTE: The install program defaults to installing on drive D. You must change the install directory to be the the root directory of XSI, for example C:\Softimage\XSI_6.5
4. Start XSI, load a test model and export it.
Exporter Help
There is a help file called Readme.htm in the C:\Program Files\OGRE\XSI Exporter directory. Open the file with a Web browser.
